The Movie FORCE 12 – From Key West to the Seychelles, performance fishing isn’t just about the perfect catch. It’s also about preserving fragile underwater ecosystems for future generations to fish.
The Tugur River, a remote watershed 500 miles northwest of the city of Khabarovsk on the eastern side of Russia. Deep in the Russian Far East and part of the Turgusky Resevre, it’s a place with huge hucho taimen that feed on large pink salmon.
An amazing trip to British Columbia fishing for steelhead on the Skeena, Balkley and Maurice Rivers, while based out of Skeena Spey Lodge in Smithers. Our timing was almost perfect with plenty fish both on wet and skated dry flies.
The Tsimane Lodges are located in a national park and the river fished is the the Sécure, which form part of the Amazon basin. Every year, massive runs of “Sabalo” migrate up the Sécure River and in tandem giant hungry Golden Dorado.
Nestled along the magnificent shallow banks of the Ruhudji and Mnyera Rivers, lies a place of un-charted wilderness and adventure. A wild and unforgiving place teeming with some of Africa’s biggest and toughest tigerfish.
The Mnyera and Ruhudji Rivers together offer one of the wildest frontiers with less than 15 individuals having sport fished these waters prior to 2008. Home to monster 20lbs+ tigers with a ferocious bite I have never felt anywhere else.
In 2005 I was fortunate enough to be invited by fly fishing explorer Ilya Sherbovich on my first trip to the remote rivers of Siberia. This adventure took us to two rivers, the Bisuke and Olanjok, in Yakutia province in search of taimen.
