A trip to the remote Siberian mountains in search of giant arctic char. A story of how Ilya Shebovich, managed to research photos from the nomadic reindeer herders and lead us on an amazing adventure into one of the wildest frontiers.

A journey of mammoth proportions covering more that 1000 kilometers on the Lena River, crossing the Arctic Circle twice, fishing 10 far-flung Siberian rivers targeting big taimen, lennok, grayling, pike and the first fly caught Russian nelma.

In 2005 I was fortunate enough to be invited by fly fishing explorer Ilya Sherbovich on my first trip to the remote rivers of Siberia. This adventure took us to two rivers, the Bisuke and Olanjok, in Yakutia province in search of taimen.
